The Human brain

The brain can store (accumulate) 100 trillion pieces of information. In each second the brain receives (obtains/gathers/senses) more then 100 million nerve messages from the body. However the brain loses (misplaces/ fails to keep) 1000 cells per day, which are not replaced (substituted/replenished/ fill up)  , and yet memories are maintained (upheld/ preserved/ sustained/ provided/ retained). The brain cannot feel (texture/ touch/ambiance) pain. If a surgeon operates on the brain, the patient feels no pain.
During the first six months of a baby’s life, its brain doubles (develops twice) in size. The brain weights about 3.5 pounds. A man brain is heavier (weightier/ heftier/profounder) than a woman’s  brain. The brain weights one-fiftieth as much as the body, but used (cast off/ consume) one-fourth (25%) of the body’s oxygen.

The left size of the brain controls  (generates/ switches) the right side of the body, the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body. If you are right-handed, you have a strong left brain; if you are left-handed, you have a strong right brain.

Interestingly, the left brain controls math, language, and logic. The right brain controls art, color, and music.
